Recreate original point list after removing duplicates

It would be great if the remove duplicate components had another
output that contains a list of index numbers that correspond to the
new list so you can replicate the original list with duplicates once
the nodes have been altered by kangaroo. Hope that makes sense.
Anyone has any workarounds besides scripting a remove duplicates
manually?

I managed to do it using the closest point component.

i agree with you it would be great to have another output(index or
boolean), so that you can remove items of other lists which are
associated with the points (normal vector, ...), too.

Okay, this seems like a good idea and shouldn't be too hard to add.
I will include it in the next release.

I whipped up a vb component for this just recently. Its basically a
modified version of the remove duplicates component that spits out an
index map aswell. Check out the file uploads section if you're
interested.
