Hi,

thanks a lot for this tool, I helps me a lot doing my conversions.

I'm running into a problem I can't solve... I doing a convert from DOC
to PDF on my desktop machine. The output is perfect. But on my server
machine I'm converting the same document and I'm missing the tables.
(Same problem using the online demo from jodconverter). Do you have
any idea to solve this?

Original document:
http://www.bierkandt.org/digitalimagerequest.doc

Machine 1 (OO 3.1, jodconverter 2.2.2, x86, desktop machine):
ps aux|grep soff
root 9975 0.0 0.1 3996 1444 pts/3 S 22:30 0:00 /bin/
sh /usr/bin/soffice -headless -nologo -nofirststartwizard -
accept=socket,host=127.0.0.1,port=8100;urp
root 10023 6.6 2.9 87080 22584 pts/3 Sl 22:30 0:00 /usr/
lib/ooo3/program/soffice.bin -headless -nologo -nofirststartwizard -
accept=socket,host=127.0.0.1,port=8100;urp
Result:

Machine 2 (OO 3.1, jodconverter 2.2.2, x64, ssh access):
ps aux|grep soff
root 6137 0.0 0.1 13300 1488 ? S 22:28 0:00 /bin/
sh /usr/bin/soffice -headless -nologo -nofirststartwizard -
accept=socket,host=127.0.0.1,port=8100;urp
root 6191 0.0 2.9 299984 29704 ? Sl 22:28 0:00 /usr/
lib64/ooo3/program/soffice.bin -headless -nologo -nofirststartwizard -
accept=socket,host=127.0.0.1,port=8100;urp

Are the tables embedded Excel objects?

If that's the case you need to set an option in the OOo configuration
to have them converted, which you may have set on one machine but not
on the other. See

http://code.google.com/p/jodconverter/wiki/Configuration

Hi Mirko,

thanks for your fast reply.

> Are the tables embedded Excel objects?

No, I think this is a regular table made in Word. (It does not have
these line numbers and a grey box around when clicking on it)

I tried this anyway by exporting a X session via SSH but the four
checkboxes in the mentioned option menu of OO where set. I'm using
jodconverter as a command line tool and I did not fully understand
from where jodconverter takes the templateProfileDir in this case or
how I can specify it.

Could the problem also be a missing rpm? Or the hardware architecture?
(x86 vs. x64). As I mentioned before, the test document has the same
problems on http://www.artofsolving.com/online-document-converter

Kind regards

I can confirm that I can convert that document fine on a 32bit system,
but the tables are missing on a 64bit system. Sounds like a bug you
may want to report to the OOo team

thx for confirming.

Fixed with OO 3.1.1.
