Could you provide more error message ?
Now some clues:
- "jallib -a path/to/sampledir" will automatically generate all samples, and put them in the appropriate place (by_device/<piv>/...)
- "jallib -a path/to/sampledir -o path/to/a/dir" will do the same, but will stores all files in the given directory
- "jallib -a path/to/sampledir -b path/to/boardfile.jal" will auto-generate all samples for a given board (ie. a given PIC). You can also mix -o option
Now, about your test_random.jal file. If I manually try to generate it with:
jallib sample -b sample/test/board/board_16f88_js.jal -t sample/test/jal/test_random.jal -o /tmp/mine/t.jal
it fails !!!

See previous message.
So I'd expect auto-generation would fail too :)
Or maybe you'd need to commit your last, modified version of test_random.jal file, so I can investigate some more.
Cheers,
Seb
