Has anyone installed the new SDK on a PPC?

You can get it to install, but it won't build apps. Pieces of
Interface Builder are no longer Universal (specifically the Cocoa
Touch plugins)

Couldn't you just move the 2.2.1 IB to the desktop, install 3.0 and
then move 2.2.1 IB back to the developer app directory?

Yerp. I guess one has to take the plunge and buy an Intel Mac. If your
budget is constrained, get the Mac Mini, a refurbished Mac or a second-
hand one.

Before buying a Mac though for iPhone SDK dev, you should first master
it--so stick with the older SDK that still runs on PowerPC until
you're ready to develop for the App store so that it'll be worth the
investment.

I found a PPC version of the iPhone 2.2.1 SDK on Demonoid (http://
