Led stat light and connectivity problem

We've been using ioio board with 2.2 lipo batteries. The IOIO have been working with this battery for a week. Since yesterday the stat led stays on every time we connect it to power supply. So is there a problem in the IOIO. Should I change it?

Is this a IOIO v1 board? Does the stat LED turn on even when not connected to an Android?
