Series 4 Drivers on Intel x3100

Do the modded Series 4 drivers provide a performance boost for the
x3100? There are many posts but no benchmarks.

well go ahead bro and provide us with some pls...

When i modded drivers for the 945 XP like 7 of the 10 versions came
from the Mobile 4 Series... and they were better than those taht were
modded from the 965.

If u want to give a try

change the ID of the M4S driver with a 965 ID DEVICE... install
manually and let us know.

look for igdh.inf in the graphics folder of the driver.
the ID device of the 965... is in a 965 driver exactly in the same
file.

Thanks MAD_BEAST. I tried them, well no apparent changes in Call of
Duty 4. Still the same ~18FPS. I reverted them back cos other parts of
the Intel driver were breaking.

Ok I didn't really do much more with the new drivers, cos I didn't
want the laptop to get the blue screen.
Well the only real difference is that some people get better Photoshop

but that's about it.

I'm guessing some noob thought that installing a higher end card's
drivers upgrade yours, but it doesn't. I got intel's "persistence
module has stopped working".

Is anyone really developing anything for the x3100? Pity the GMA
booster is unable to be developed. (or Yashar's driver).

well, i and the others i believe developing in the development team
are currently making some research on the x3100 and also the
4500mhd...
so bare with us, it will be release soon, my research should be done
within next week or 2 weeks later...so the MD will be done as soon as
the research are complete....
