Hi guys !! ^^
well,i mod it with some basic stuff, by make the 965GX/G35 (which i
find the only compitable driver that support DX10 for GMA) , change
some config like max memory shared to 256 to prevent crash. add open
GL support (beta).

ok here's the deal, i ran HL2 using "-dxlevel 90" and all setting
maxed with resolution of 1280x800 (my max res) and it run great!! i
mean minimum fps achived is 20 fps, it ran smooth inside with some
graphical extra as it ran on dx9 shaders. ^^ i'm pleased
all source engine i assume work great woth this driver EXCEPT left 4
dead 11fps lol ^^, TF2 max 35 fps avg 20-25fps, CS:S runs fine with
regtweak and low - med setting.

condamned : criminal origins ran smoothly as i increase resolution to
800x600 with all high including texture set to max and shadow on. i
still cant get the volumetric lights to work smoothly on GMA. i also
tried on 1024x748 resolution, and i work great by disabling some
option such as shadow and light detail to med. great isnt it ?? ^^
ok, in fact that condamned :criminal origins run basicly the same as
FEAR engine. I assume FEAR will also work fine with med-high setting.

I only tried the driver on these two games only as my hard driver
currently full, soon i want to try it on COD2 and other TnL required
game.

some released info:
-Windows 7 Aero runs more smoothly
-no more BSOD!! YAY^^ . some issue with hl2 or source engine, the game
crash when i set -dxlevel 90. so,by modding this driver, test it and
walla,no more BSOD on games ^^
-For Windows 7 only, but i assume that vista users can also enjoy this
driver, not tested yet on Viscrap

*this driver is still under testing and only works for 945GM MOBILE
with device id 27A2 and 27A6.
*anyone who like to help me test this driver with more games please~~
download it, i will upload it. ^^
*this is a BETA,use it with your own responsiblities. It work for me
^^

I would like to ask my bro MAD_BEAST and any bro that are experienced
to help me make this driver better. cheers ^^
~continuing to work with this driver~

hmm, basicly device id change for G35/965GX and max memory change from
512 to 256 as u know to prevent crash and BSOD. i also added open GL
registry from 965 registry installation to work. as u know this is my
first attemp. i will continue working on this driver.

download the official driver here:
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/filter_results.aspx?strTypes=all&ProductID=2300&OSFullName=Windows+7*&lang=eng&strOSs=188&submit=Go!

and download the inf i uploaded in the files section ^^
u can see wht i done in the inf,so feel free to make change and post
it here to make the driver better..thanks in advance .. cheers ^^

i still dont understand verry well, so you changed the device id 27A2
and 27A6 to 965GX ,why not to the 965GM or why not to leave 945GM as
it is ,and just change what is under [i945GM1] and [i945GM1] whit the
content from under [i965GM0] and [i965GM1] and someone knows what
PipeOptimization activated in the reg. does? i just instaled the stock
windows 7 driver in vista and it works.

Great job BROOOOO!

we really apreciate this developments!! Congrats in te name of the
family :D

it reminds me when KinGPin was working to improve my V10 (XP v) and i
thought i was going to be impossible... but he made it and his drivers
are the best MD for XP

well bro theres a couple of things i would love to know if u dont mind

How u modded em?? manually or through ID DEVICE change??

i see that u made some changes manually... but i can see that u only
changed a couple of things, and when u are modding a driver it
requires a lot of changes

have u tried to make the ID CHANGE?? this way is 1000000 easier,
faster, and safer

but if it is impossible ill help u to mod em OLD SCHOOL way :D

when i saw the benchmarks that u posted... i have to say that its a
lil weird cuz i was able to run thos game way better under XP

HL2
1280x800 all MAX full settings ON (u know everything ON or MAX)
from 20 - 60 FPS

but i have to admit that the other SOURCE GAMES wouldnt make it so
good under XP got like 15-40 FPS with CSS MID settings 1280x800

FEAR (Jupiter engine... Condemned, Terrorist take down 2, and some
others) 1024x7XX and with most of the setting on MAX did run pretty
WELL i bet from 20-50 FPS and Terririst take down... ALL MAX 1024x7XX
(good game btw) is condemned really good? do u recomend it bro?

let me know about these things and wii will work on it as soon as
possible (the problm is that i dont have WIN7 rigth now so ull have to
make the tests) :D

hey Angelic would you try this one:

http://www.4shared.com/file/115492827/c3c5d51f/win7_1515_modded_for_945GM_beta.html

because i made id change and some little changes for mobile intel 4
series drivers,

this way gave more performance for XP with 1.2final...

i don't have Win7 so this is experimental but i think it will work :)

if it works it's the candidate to be the best :):)

ok2 guys, ill answer most of the question here, (alot question and i
dont suprise ^^)
btw,a very3x Thanks to my bro MAD_BEAST and KingPin for supporting me,
feel free on giving me advise to make this driver better or mod it to
perfection.

b4 i answer most of the question,THIS IS AN EXPERIMENTAL DRIVER AND
WORK IS STILL UNDER PROCESS ^^
now on to the answer.

to Demonicus
my system spec are:
-Windows 7 build 7100 RC1
-1.67ghz overclocked to 1.87ghz core duo cpu
-intel 945GM 256 shared memory
-80GB ide hard drive
-using my modded driver
i dont really confirmed that it can support but it should,i need help
on confirming this as i need to make some improvement on this
features,i dont have any openGL based games currently. thanks in
advance ^^

1st,to MilHay
why 965GX?? well, simply cuz GX version can improve more performance as
its a desktop config and not a laptop like 965GM. and because it can
enable PipeOptimization. PipeOptimization is a technology that can
improve coding process of a programs. in this case graphic data that
can be process with GMA. most of intel's GMA except GMA950 or u aka
945 series doesnt have this or it cant perform well. series 4 GMA has
hardware optimization. so with that reg enabled,GMA950 can enjoy this
by emulating it on CPU. mostly dual core cpu has no problem and had
performance boost, this is a basic on all modded driver (correct me if
im wrong)

2nd to my bro MAD_BEAST
i currently mod it with id change as u can see that the driver has
minor changes and i still studying them and compare to other MD. but i
changed it with the 965GX versions which generally has DX10 support
and should had openGL support (experimental and not tested). also as
mention above i enable AGP texture acceleration and PipeOptimization
(again experimental). yup, modding a driver requires a LOT of changes
and i still working on it. hehe, yup, those games i ran benchmark on ran
smooth with XP v1.2 by KingPin. i mod this driver specially for win7
users, have u tried run hl2 with shader dx9? in this case,i manage to
run it with out BSOD with dx9 shaders. which pleased me ^^..there is
no great boost of improvement but it improve for other source games.
Jupiter engine yes i admit it run preety well with ur specification
bro but i notice with this driver, with volumetric lights and shadow
and texture quality high and enabled (which is hard for gma950 to run
smooth b4),it improve performance on Jupiter engine with res 800x600,
so more eye candy for GMA950 ^^ , yes bro,its way more panicking than
FEAR. didnt finished it yet. thanks bro, i looking forward for u to
make this driver better ^^ and i would like to know how u guys mod
using the OLD SCHOOL way,i'd love to learn it ^^ ure the man ^^.
THANKS again bro.

3rd to KingPin
hey bro, b4 that i would to thanks u for those awsome 1.2 driver for
XP,i enjoyed gaming with XP not long ago with ur driver, hope i can
contribute more to this group.
ok bro, i will try those driver u recommend me and try to benchmark it
as its a modded series 4 for 950^^ that's a good news for me as win7
does not have any official driver for series 4 (again correct me if i
were wrong)

4th and final question to ram
ok bro,as u can see this driver is for GMA950 with device id 27A2 and
27A6 only. if u like, try and change the device id 27A2 and 27A6
(search within the inf) and change it to ur driver id..i assume u know
how to search for ut device id.

again i remind that this driver is still a BETA stage that made to
improve gaming experience on Win7 and probably on Viscrap.
i have a LOT of work to do with this driver and up coming soon i will
research for some VBIOS mod that can unlock 512mb shared
memory.......so wish me luck.
again THANKS guys for ur SUPPORT ^^
cheers and stay tuned for some good news guyz^^

this is the official Win7 RC Build 7100 driver for Mobile Intel 4

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/filter_results.aspx?strTypes=all&ProductID=2991&OSFullName=Windows+7+RC1%2C+32-bit*&lang=eng&strOSs=202&submit=Go!

- that's a good news for me as win7
- does not have any official driver for series 4 (again correct me if
i
- were wrong)

@demonicus

could you manage to install the driver i've uploaded??

AngelicTears

thanks KingPin ^^ i didnt know the official ones released..and i cant
install ur driver, some file missing or cant copy error, tried on both
updating via device manager and setup.exe but no go,did i do smthing
wrong?
oh ya, i juz found out,not sure that my driver has the ability to
render addgame.reg or not (i exam ur inf and i dont implant the
support yet) but my modded ones can run TnL without addgame.reg
tweaks..hmmm..it's an improvement i guess..still working it out.

my bro ram, nope, there's nothing that u've missed,if u replace the id
27A2 and 27A6 with ur id,so it's no problem. have u tried it? how was
it?

startup applications of driver. so its weight on system decreased

hard work yeah? ^^

Omg I love you guys!

In fact, I'm downloading Windows 7 Release Candidate right now so I
may try your mods out

Hey, I have Vista, and I already tried 1545, 1624, and 1666 drivers,
all works fine, with a huge increase in Source games. But I'm still
looking for ways to run CSS at 40+ fps! Right now, my fps drops down
to 20s and worse, even on de_dust2

Hey, if you guys can run CSS at 1280x800 max settings, does that mean
that the new Windows 7 beta drivers, when modded, perform better than
modded Vista drivers??? Thanks!

hi which driver did you use, the one for the G965 oder for the mobile
4 series

Use WinRar to make a complete installer it would make all much
easier...

..can u plz run 3dmark to show use how huge the performance boost
is..because i use 1624 and all source games (expect L4D) run great
with good settings

hey Crush89 ^^
ive modded the 965 ones,i'm trying to make one as this site has only
10mb limit upload per file, trying to make the installer less than
10mb, wait for the final version ok?? ^^

3dmark? dont have it..u can install and give the results here, as i
said earlier, this driver does not increase a noticeable performance
on source games, juz a little boost ,maybe +2fps ^^ . This driver just
managed to eliminated crashes and BSODs when playing source games on
win7. again i dont aim for the performance as ver 1624 for vista in my
opinion are the maxed performance that GMA can achieved with Vista
based driver. This driver can prove to be the best one for win7 and
vista as it is the most stable yet with the same performance as
1624..cheers ^^

*UPDATE*
currently me, MAD_BEAST and KingPin are working with this driver....we
will post the changes made here, so stay tune and hope for some good
news ^^
so far the changes that i made (thanks to KingPin for his advise)
-language resource file have been strip off except for spanish and
english.
-TVWizard have been remove
-Trying to implant the GMA 4 series files and config. so far so good.
-Vista users, this driver is proven to provide the same stableness
that is on win7 platform, but u need to have at least 2gb of RAM to
gain performance.
-theoritically PipoeOptimization emulation have shown 70% success, but
that's on my system...
-a full version (not BETA) installer will be uploaded soon (let's hope
so ) ^^

cheers ^^
