Dear friends,

Sending photos of Plain tiger butterfly feeding on Scarlet Milkweed flower.  
This plant is also the food plant of the caterpillars of this butterfly.

Place :   Ovalekarwadi butterfly garden, Thane Dt. Maharashtra.
Date  :    12.12.10   10 a.m.
botanical name of the plant  : Asclepias curassavica 
family of the plant               :  Asclepiadaceae 
Habitat of the plant             : Cultivated
