    pan-ick-yoo-LAY-tuh -- referring to the flower clusters (panicles)

commonly known as: microcos, panicled Indian linden • Assamese: pisoli, thengprenkeorong • Bengali: আসার asar • Garo: borsubret, bolchibins • Hindi: शिरल shiral • Kannada: ಅಭ್ರಂಗ abhranga • Khasi: dieng sohdkhar, dieng sohlienghadem • Konkani: असळी asali, चिवरा chivra • Malayalam: കൊട്ടക്ക kottakka • Marathi: हसोळी hasoli, शिरळा shirala • Tamil: தடம் tatam, விசாலம் visalam

Native of: s China, Indian Subcontinent, Indo-China, Malesia

I don't think i can ever take a picture like Dinesh ji (and few other photo experts) does. I can't understand the secret of the art. Camera is just a tool that almost everybody has. I think it needs more than that....dedication, aesthetic sense, timing, selection of specimen, etc. etc... in addition to appropriate camera settings. I have almost given up.

Dear Vijayasankar ji, Usha di Gurcharan ji, Balkar ji, Tanay ... your words of praise are intoxicating me and may even make me vain. Frankly, only few of the photos are good, they are my favourites too ... but my whole lot is just good OR okay. They look good because of the added presentation, ...

In the wake of Ganesha festival, the pressure at work-front is slightly reduced, thus could afford to put my contribution here.
