Dear all,

This is the sixth species, the last, atleast for now; Only two trees there. Between 10-15 feet tall.

Again, will appreciate help with the ID. I will make a list of the species that I could ID and post the pictures on the group. There are many more that I'm not able to ID, and I will take the help of the members of indiantreepix.

Thanks.

Pranay ji, requesting you to get some local folk some day, and get the local name(s) of the trees. It would take us nearer to the ID.
Regards.

Dear Dinesh ji,

Thanks a lot for the ID. I have tried with some of the locals, but they are not able to put a name to quite a number of the species.

Species like Albezia amara (Narlinga), Albezia lebek (Dhirsunam), Albezia procera (Pachari), Holoptelea integrifolia (Namilnara), Terminalia bellarica (Tani), Alianthus exelsa (Manu), Semicarpus anacardium (Jedi), Chloroxylon swietenia (Billudu), Cassia fistula (Rela), Zizyphus jujube (Regi) and Zizyphus enoplia (Parki) are some of the species that we could make a list of.

Thanks.

... OK, Pranay ji, if the attempt of folk identification has already taken place, then your unidentified plants are at right place !!

About your posted plant being Careya arborea is just my thought; please wait for comments.
There could be chance of it being a member of Anacardiaceae, say species of Buchanania ... B, lanzan ... chironji or Cuddapah almond ... చార char, చారుమామిడి charumamidi, ప్రియాళువు priyaluvu, రాజాదనము raj-adanamu.

Hi Dinesh,
Concur. Don't think it looks like Khumbi [Careya arborea]. Sending you photographs of the leaves of Khumbi for comparison. It could be Buchanania lanzan [Chironji,Charoli].
