Garcinia indica or kokum
growing in the wild on a road side cliff in Goa
The tree was laden with fruit, a lot of which had fallen on the ground

It makes such lovely Kokam Sharbat. Very tasty and very good for health. In summer bettwr to have this. or Limbu ( Lemon) Sharbat than to have any cold drink. The syrup can be easily made at home.
the left out pieces from Sharbat can be good candy to eat too

Garcinia indica (Thouars) Choisy (vernacular name: Kokkam) of
Clusiaceae family.
The kokkam juice or sarbath is attributed to have properties to cure
blood. Lots of anti cancerous drugs have been identified from the
fruits recently.
A glass of juice made by putting the dry pericarp (fruit
wall)overnight and consume it in the morning (empty stomach)is the
practice among people in central Karnataka.
