Dear members,
Efloraofindia Database will no longer be available for downloading after a week or so as most of the data has already been transferred to efloraofindia website.
It will take another week or so to complete the work. Main advantage is that updated efloraofindia website is available all the time. Search is great. Main advantage is that all the members of efloraofindia can edit it for any corrections or leave a comment on a page anytime they come across a mistake. Even efloraofindia links can be given during discussions on the group just like FOI links. Even non-members can point out the mistakes by writing a mail to <indiantre...@googlegroups.com>. Now it will be a combined effort of all the members who can spare some time to have a look, correct/ add data/links, names, references, keys etc. except pictures, which remain embedded in the links. Editing it is as simple as editing a Word document. Already Dinesh ji, Pankaj ji & Singh ji has taken the plunge & started doing some good work. I further point out that it was an idea given by Dinesh ji who initially created this website & this has certainly changed the dynamics of the group.

We have to add descriptions etc. from sources/ books where copyright has expired like Flora of British India.

And that can be a brilliant CitizenScience effort, I feel.
