Giant Bamboo Trees at Peradeniya, Sri Lanka

Taken on the 17th of October,2010 at the Royal Botanic Gardens,
Peradeniya,Sri Lanka.
The size can be judged by a couple sitting under it.
They were really huge.Had to take the picture from a distance to cover
the entire trees in the camera frame.

Thanks ma'm!

Have seen this bamboo many times in Arunachal Pradesh. It is widely
utilized in upper reaches of Siang districts. For making huts, water
channels and to make pickles from the young shoots.
