Name Solanum nigrum is no longer valid. Indian specimens belong to more than one species. One with violet flowers is now correctly known as Solanum violaceum.

I think you wanted to say Solanum indicum name is not valid. The
accepted name is Solanum violaceum.

S. indicum Clarke in FBI (non L.) is now correctly S. violaceum Ortega.

S. indicum L. ( rejected name (nomen utique rejiciendum) under Vienna ICBN Art. 56 & App. V that is unavailable for use) and S. ferox auct. (incl. Clarke in FBI (non L.) is now S. lasiocarpum Dunal, (flowers blue to purple) whereas S. indicum auct. is S. anguivi Lm. (flowers white or with purple veins)

I had uploded this information earlier
