Flora of Uttara Kannada | Begonia Phrixophylla

Begonia Phrixophylla, a rare herb.   http://www.flowersofindia.net/catalog/slides/Shimpli.html

Stout bristles in the leaf, Light rose flowers, unequal heart shaped leaves, two circular, concave sepals and two ovate petals points to Begonia Phrixophylla.  Hope the ID is correct


Apsara Konda (Falls), Kumta, Uttara Kannada
Height 40cms
Leaves - elliptic and ovate, 18 cms, 
Flower-light rose, 
Location: Apsara konda Falls, Near to Apsara konda beach, Fringes of Western ghats.
Date: 14 Oct 2010

,
since stalks are not pink or red.
