Looking at the stamens , one can say it could be a Malvaceae member.

Looking strange. I won't be surprised if it turns out that some one has fixed flowers of Abutilon striatum (painted mallow) and some Crossandra infundibuliformis  flowers on a twig of Asparagus.

Not so fast Prof. Singh. Will have to consult Dr. Pankaj Oudhia. [Dissention in the ranks !]. This could be Selfa waynaadensis.

Sorry folks,  Could not resist an April fool joke.
It was the handiwork of the holidaying children at home,  April 1st was the perfect time to be publicized.

Thanks every one for the new nomenclature ..

This is an April Fool episode, but something similar has happened in reality also. A collector by the name of Henry submitted a herbarium sheet which became the type specimen (deposited at KEW) of a new species Actinotinus sinensis (under new genus Actinotinus) described by Oliver in Hooker's Pl. 18, t. 1740, 1888. The name was subsequently rejected when was discovered that the collector had in error inserted an inflorescence of Viburnum on the vegetative shoot of Aesculus chinensis.
