this is wrong. The name Plumeria stands for Charles Plumier as
mentioned by your later.
Type: Lectotype (Icon) = "Plumeria flore niveo, foliis brevioribus
obtusis" in Catesby, Nat. Hist. Carolina, 2: 93, t. 93, 1743.
PS: There are many such taxa for which no type specimen exsists
instead there are paintings. This is one such taxa and such types are
often designated as Iconotype.
