This species was seen in the forest in Mumbai on 20 Nov. '10. It has rhizoporus side roots. Request ID of the same. Thankyou.

could this be Spodiopogon rhizophorus (Steud.) Pilger? 
What is the altitude of the forest you taken sir? and is that an evergreen forest?

Thankyou Dr Anil ji for the ID. I was informed by  Santosh ji - one of Dr. Almeida's Ph. D. students that it is Spodiopogon rhizophorus can you please confirm the same. Thankyou.
