Dear Friend,
At this time of the year,we have Rhynchostylis retusa ( a common orchid of this place )in plenty.You must be knowing,in Assam girls decorate their hair with this orchid,in BIHU dance(in their language the flower is known as KOPOP PHUL ).Attaching an image of this beautiful orchid.

Thanks for sharing Bimal ji. I have documented information about Traditional Formulations in which this orchid is added as important ingredient. Many of these formulations are used in treatment of Sickle Cell Anaemia.
