Botanical names - request to translate their meaning in English

May I request that some knowledgeable person on the list should translate the botanical names of the plants in common English so that lay persons like me can digest them easily?

Any volunteer please? Or is there any URL giving such translations?

Hi, Sangeeta ji,

I think you mean a work like this by Tabish ji at: http://www.flowersofindia.net/botanical.html
You can also download Indiantreepix Database from under file section at home page http://groups.google.com/group/indiantreepix, which also gives Common English names for Botanical names of the plants. Once downloaded you can look at it offline also without the need of the net (It contains around 1394 species).

That I have already done, I want English translation of the Botanical nomenclature. Tabish ji has very kindly provided the source.
