in the last picture did the maker of the pic rub/sand paper off the
spicules?
how come they are gone????

I eat this every day.. they do not rub off so easily....
one has to make a serious effort...

its কাঁকরৗল in bengali script, I typed it up exactly as EkKodi Ghosh
in his Bonaushadhi Kosh ,
if you recall he was at Royal Botanical Garden In Kolkata...books (3
volumes) published by Calcutta University in 1951.
