Though this is a very common tree found everywhere. But the pic. posted was taken in Dudhwa NP (U.P.) in 24.03.2008.

One of deciduous tree and bat pollinated specie with attractive scarlet colored flowers, flowering from Jan to May. 
In Marathi we commonly called 'Palas'
