Photo taken in Asansol (W.B.) India. Date: 22/06/11. Height of the plant around 4 to 5 inches. Most of them with single flowers. Butterflies seen frequenting the plant. Requested to please give the ID.

Ionidium suffruticosum. One of the important medicinal herbs in
Siddha medicines.

But the accepted name is Hybanthus ennaeaspermus.

Tamil Name: Oridazh thaamarai. ஓரிதழ் தாமரை
