Dear all,
Please help to id this Boraginaceae member, planted for ornamental in a home garden at Ooty, Nilgiris.

Date/Time-

Location- Place, Altitude, GP

ca.2200asl; Ooty, TN

Habitat- Garden/ Urban/ Wild/ Type- 

garden

Plant Habit-

big herb

Height/Length- 

50 cm

Leaves Type/ Shape/ Size- 

c. 6 X 3 cm

Inflorescence Type/ Size- 

Raceme

Flowers Size/ Colour/ Calyx/ Bracts- 

blue; 

Fruits Type/ Shape/ Size Seeds- 


Other Information like Fragrance, Pollinator, Uses etc.-

Could be Heliotropium sps. mostly arboresecens?

I think Mahadeswara ji is correct possibly this is Heliotropium arborescens

Searched in google-images, yes this is Heliotropium arborescens L. Cherry-pie in English. Refer: http://tropicos.org/Name/4000439
