Native flowering plant : Candle bush, Senna alata,  Family Caesalpiniacea  (Gulmohar family)

Place: Kukke, Dakshina Kannada district.
Habitat: Kumaradhara river bank, Western Ghats
Date: 8 Nov 2010 
Native Shrub Perennial
Height 8-10feet
Leaves opposite,

The flower belongs to Caesalpiniacea not Acanthaceae.

This is a common garden plant. Some times grows as garden escape, in
wild. The leaves possess curative properties for burns.
