It doesn't seems to be Desmodium gangeticum. Could be some other species.

Synonyms: Hedysarum scorpiurus Swartz., Prodr. 107, 1788. Nissoloides
cylindrical Jones in Contr. West. Bot. 18: 135, 1935. Meibomia
scorpiurus (Sw.) O. Kuntze Rev. Gen. 1: 198, 1891.
Common name: Chikta.
