Colebrookia oppositifolia Sm,, Exot. Bot. 2: 111 1806.
A shrubby plant with opposite leaves or in threes, lanceolate, 10-20 cm long; flowers minute, white in long cylindrical erect spikes, forming panicles or at ends of branches; calyx elongated and feathery in fruit with purple tips.
Usually at lower altitudes in hills, ascending to around 1400 m. Photographed from open slopes of Morni hills.
