Gurcharan ji ... believing to be some inadvertent slip here ... looks clearly to be some species of Commelina.

 I knew it has been identified as Commelina communis, but wanted it confirmed. Sorry this is the only photograph.

It is Tradescantia, may be some sport of T. purpuria ''Wandring Jew".

There is a slight difference in the flower. Copying the link for
commelina communis.

It can not be Commelina hasskarlii, if the picture submitted by Mr.
Dinesh Valke, is C hasskarlii. Please check

I don't think this one is Commelina communis and if it is  C. communis then it will be new record for India.
It seems to be Commelina obliqua  or Commelina paludosa.

I wonder whether if identified as C. communis, would it be considered as new record for India. The species has been reported from India in Dictionary of economic Products of India ( A Govt. of India Publication), Voigt (Calcutta), Dals. & Gibs. (Bombay), Stewart (Punjab), Aitchinson (Punjab & Sind). Agreed that FBI puts it under doubtful species, there has been considerable research in India, obviously from plants here.
