Thorny straggler for ID 030511MK03

Dear all,
Kindly help to identify this straggler which is similar to Caesalpinia bonduc but differs in having pubescent body.

Date/Time- 

10-04-2011 / 10:30 AM

Location- Place, Altitude, GP

ca.1800m ASL; Kothagiri, TN

Habitat- Garden/ Urban/ Wild/ Type- 

wild in forest fringes

Plant Habit-

straggler

Height/Length- 

2 m long

Leaves Type/ Shape/ Size- 

compound; 30 x 20 cm; each 2 x 0.4cm

Inflorescence Type/ Size- 


Flowers Size/ Colour/ Calyx/ Bracts- 


Fruits Type/ Shape/ Size Seeds- 


Other Information like Fragrance, Pollinator, Uses etc.-

This could be Caesalpinia decapetala.
C. bonduc can also be characterized by its pinnately lobed stipules, and of course by the prickly fruits.

This could be Caesalpinia decapetala.
C. bonduc can also be characterized by its pinnately lobed stipules, and of course by the prickly fruits.
