Taken at Colombo,Sri Lanka on 19/11/10.
A cultivated palm, growing in a hotel garden.
A dwarf variety, not like the other palms.

This seems to be a young Licuala grandis. Once again lack of stem
details makes ID doubtful. Regards, Shrikant

Thanks for the id.
It seems to be Licuala grandis.
Many a times, pictures are taken very casually and in a hurry making
it a little difficult to take in all the details.
I had seen similar palms at Kochi, Kerala.
