Lepidagathis cuspidata Nees, Pl. Asiat. Rar. 3: 97 97 1832.

syn: Ruellia cuspidata Wall.

Low erect or diffuse shrubby plant with elliptic or ovate up to 10 cm long leaves narrowed at both ends, mucronate, smaller about 2.5 cm long on lateral branches; flowers in dense or lax spikes often elongating to 15 cm; flowers in opposite pairs; bracts ovate, about 2 cm long, ovate, cuspidate, 3-nerved; corolla white with purple spots.
