Please don't use weed to denote plants which are not weeds.

Please go through the link

Pls give size of the whole plant, size and type of inflorescence and
the season. This can be Rhinacanthus communis, way different from the
one posted in Acanthaceae week. I have IDd the one labelled as R.
communis to be Hypoestis lanata. Pls validate. Regards, Shrikant

Sir,

Here are some details of the plant  & sending a better resolution of the same photo  to your email.

Photo date: 05 Feb 2011, Singhagad
Height 2-5 feet approx.
Flower - small, 2-3 cms, Leaves- 25cms
Inflorescence- I'm afraid, need to undergo a crash course to describe the finer details

Dr. Giby
Thanks for the mention -Hygrophila auriculata as a non weed. Infact, was little bit hesitant to describe the plant as a weed. Apologies for my ignorance,
This link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weed is educative. Highlighst the benefit,  appreciate and even defend weeds -"let them be left; wildness and wet; Long live the weeds and the wilderness yet."

Regards
Raghu
