Kodavas passion for rearing flowers - a picture collage

In fact, most of the estates in Coorg (Kodagu) boast beautiful flower gardens considering that Kodavas have a passion for rearing flowers. There were flowers all over the place – huge fat dahlias, red hibiscuses, roses, asters and many others, the likes of which we had never seen before.  We walked through the coffee gardens, the plants lush and somewhat stooping under the weight of the raindrops.   Murnadu, Kodagu, Karnataka Sep 2009   (Guess these garden flowers are identified already & not required to post them individually to ITP)   Regards Raghu
