Perennial herb of temperate and alpine climates with basal rosette of leaves and white to blue flowers on a long scape, an involucre of 3-fid leaves present below and far removed from solitary or rarely 2-3 flowers. Photographed from Khillenmarg meadow in Kashmir in June, 2010.
