Locality: Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh (ca 500m)

Date: Cant remember.

Hindi name: "Chirchiri"

Reztius writes Andropogon gyrllus L. as one of its synonym. Attached
here is the specimen of the same from Linnean collection.

Type: Lectotype - Séguier, Herb. Linn. No. 1211.2 (LINN)

This is a very common plant, the seeds of which gets stuck to the
trousers and socks in the field. Thats one way of its seed dispersal.
