This is Cottonia peduncularis. Slightly deformed flower.
This is a wide endemic plant distributed in India and Sri Lanka.

Oh, Karnala!!! I wish one of my indirect students who worked in
Karnala had shown this plant to me :((....
BTW, Karnala I still doubt if it is a wildlife sanctuary notified by
MoEF. Its not a protected area but it is a reserve forest I assume.
