Dear All:

Attaching pictures of * Rhinacantha*  *  nastus* , Acanthaceae family.

I was attracted to unusual orchid like flowers.

Date January 2008
Southern fringes of Kolkata    in A herbal garden, supervised by a junior botanist....

This herb is a shrub, less than 3 feet tall,  not woody stem....

2   Pictures showing Flowers, leaves, and  insertion pattern of leaves and flowers.
No seed pods or fruits were present then....
no insects hovering around, either....
In Ayurveda and local lore usage,  roots and leaves are used for treatment of Krimi
and    cutaneous inflammations and reactionary changes.

Sorry, All:

There's  typo in the subject line and attachment(s) names.... nasuto should read nasutus.

AND WHILE I AM HERE I would like to add that the Bengali name for *Rhinocanthus* * nasutus*

Is PALAK  JUI  পলক ঝুঁই ...

this is my first real post and I made typos...phew!
