Dear Gurcharan Singh ji,

I was thinking of  either Euphorbia hypericifolia or Euphorbia maculata. I am not sure.

regards
Prashant

Prashant ji
The plant seems to be interesting. The leaves are clearly oblique at base and shape more or less like E. hirta, but the capsule, leaves and stem are glabrous like hypericifolia. Let us see other opinions.

And yes Prashant ji, in E. maculata the cyathia are solitary in leaf axils and not in clusters as here.

If the cyathia are in capitate clusters/cymes on 1-3 cm long peduncles, then it could be E. indica.

With regards

Vijayasankar

Tanay & Sevalakshmi.........Yes E. indica

The two species have long been confused even in FBI. It now emerges that E. indica is correctly known as E. parviflora and is distinct in mostly hairy stems and leaves, longer peduncled clusters of cyathia and most importantly hairy fruits. E. hypercifolia on the other hand has glabrous stems and leaves, short pedunculate clusters and glabrous fruits.

On that account I would go with E. hypercifolia for this plant. Please give your opinion.
