Wild Herb captured on 13/8/10 during the trek from Ghangaria (around 11,000 ft.) to Hemkunt Sahib (around 14000 ft.).

This one looks A. nubigena. he other one has definitely broader leaves with sessile almost amplexicaul leaves, but clearly one-nerved. The heads in two (especially closed ones) look similar. The other one does not match with any other species known to me.

It may be Anaphalis nubigena var. nubigena as suggested by you. This is a syn. of Anaphalis triplinervis var. monocephala (DC.) Airy Shaw as per GCC (updated in 9/2011) as plants are having only one head on a stem.

Herb19B I IMG_4742.jpg may be different species.
