Syn: Sida grewioides Guill. & Perr.
Perennial herb upto 90 cm tall, stellate pubescent with filiform to linear stipules, 2-5 cm long ovate-oblong leaves, obtuse at apex, crenate-serrate, stellate pubescent; flowers white or yellow, solitary or paired, 1-1.5 cm across; fruit depressed globose, 3-5 mm in diam with 7-10 mericarps each with 2 very short (0.5 mm long) connivent awns.
