Malus prunifolia (Willd.) Borkh.

syn: Pyrus prunifolia Willd.

Common names: Chinese applecrab appleplum-leaf apple

Small tree with elliptic to ovate, up to 10 cm long acuminate serrate leaves, ciliate beneath; flowers 3-4 cm across, white with long glabrous sepals; fruit yellow or red, 2-2.5 cm long, long-persistent on tree
