Dear friends,

Found this as a garden plant at the Kodagu Valley Resort.
Also found along roadsides as an escape.
Based on the ornamental dots on the leaves, looks like some species of non-native species of Peristrophe / Dicliptera ... ID please

May be mistaking it to be non-native.

I think Hypoestes phyllostachya (Polka Dot Plant).

I saw this plant in Kotagiri (Nilgiris) at an altitude of about 2000 MSL. Is there any synonyms for Hypoestes phyllostachya ?
