Alcea rosea L., Sp. pl. 2:687. 1753
syn: Althaea rosea (L.) Cav.

Common name: Hollyhock

Commonly grown garden ornamental with 3-5 lobed leaves and single or double 5-10 cm across flowers white, pink to purple, and fruit with several mericarps with dorsal furrow.
