Rubus niveus Thunb., ; Diss. Rubo. 7 & 9, f. 3 (1813).
syn: Rubus lasiocarpus Sm.; Rubus lasiocarpus var. pauciflorus (Wall.) Hook. f.; Rubus niveus var. pauciflorus (Wall. ex Lindl.) Focke

Common names: Hill raspberry, Mysore raspberry

Rambling shrub easily distinguished by its pinnate compound leaves; young shoots tomentose; prickles hooked; leaflets 5-7, elliptic-ovate, 3-6 cm long, corsely serrate, acute; flowers small rosy-purple, in paniculate clusters; fruit yellow when young, purple when ripe.

Common in Kashmir in forest openings, photographed from Dachhigam, Baramulla and Shankeracharya hill in Kashmir
