The few linear leaves visible and a stipulat sheath below and slight purplish tinge in flowers suggests Spergularia rubra. The petals are also broader like Spergula/Spergularia.

Though it is unusual to find this species at this altitude, but incidently I found both species in your photograph (trifoliate Trifolium repens and Spergularia rubra) growing together here also in California.
