Barleria cristata L., Sp. pl. 2:636. 1753
syn: Barleria dichotoma Roxb.

Unarmed shrub with elliptic-ovate up to 10 cm long leaves, white or blue sessile flowers with ovate spiny margined calyx lobes. Often planted in gardens. Photographed from Ridge and Herbal Garden, Punjabi Bagh in Delhi.  

Common names: bluebell, bluebell barleria, Philippine-violet
