If it is growing wild in Western ghats it is most likely Grewia tilaefolia.
Look for foliaceous stipules

" Sorry I am no expert but my query dt.130511sn2 has been identified as Grewia tilaefolia. But I find the pictures with 2 types of flowers on the same plant look closer to Grewia damine. Kindly clarify. the photo was taken at Mulshi,Pune.

In G. tiliaefolia the peduncles should be shorter than petioles (here
it doesn't look so).
Most probably G. asiatica of Malvaceae family (according to "the plant
list").

Grewia asiatica. in my area it is called Falsa and the fruits are
really very tasty with a sweet sour taste....
