Dear friends,

Please find pictures of Averrhoa bilimbi flowers. The photos are not that good but the flowers are beautiful. Taken in my garden near Trivandrum.

We make pickles from the fruits. The fruits can also be sun dried with chillies and salt as we do with raw mangoes. We have also tried making wine by fermenting it with jaggery which has come out quite well.

Sandhya

Thanks Sandhya ji for the reply.  Is it possible to grow the tree from seed? How long it takes for fruiting if grown from seeds?

Regards,

Mani.
