About The Meet.

Selenium was written by people from ThoughtWorks. It is more of a community effort now. This meet is the first of it's kind. It aims to promote and develop a community around Selenium and share selenium best practices.

ThoughtWorks Studios in proud to host the first-ever Indian Selenium User's Group meet!.

Join Sai , Nivetha and Manish for this workshop . Where we will explore the challenges of Selenium, as well as solutions and best practices. There will also be a presentation on Twist, which is our Agile Test Automation Tool for the entire team. Twist uses Selenium internally for recording/playback of tests..

  • Introduction to the Selenium Architecture by Manish - 30 mins.
  • Introduction to WebDriver (i.e Selenium 2.0) by Sai - 30 mins.
  • Snacks Break - 15 mins
  • Selenium with a Twist by Nivetha - 30 mins
  • Q&A / Troubleshooting - Open Ended - 30 mins

What You Will Learn

  • The Architecture of Selenium - The why's and the how's
  • How to use Selenium more effectively
  • About WebDriver, which is going to be Selenium 2.0
  • About Twist, how it uses Selenium and the value add it brings to testing.
  • Best practices around Selenium in specific and testing in general

Hi Manish,

Thanks for the invitation. But was not able to catch you at that time because i was not here in bangalore that time. So can u provide me the stuff or whatever you have explained at that time. so that i can have an idea about selenium and twist.

Hey Himanshu,

I did explain some stuff and presented some slides. As did Sai and
Nivetha.
I dont think you would be able to make much sense out of it, cause the
way the slides are written, it would only make sense when you someone
presenting it to you and you can ask questions directly.
