I am planning to upgrade to lucid from karmic. Can somebody confirm if the alternate installation disc provided in this link is the final release version. The date mentioned against the file is 27/4/10.

Even the official mirrors have the date 27/4/10

If you are unsure, the images are downloaded from
http://ftp.jaist.ac.jp/pub/Linux/ubuntu-releases/lucid/

As of now, this isn't accessible from hostels. I have notified nck and
suban.
